Kidwise Magic Circle (Octogon) Trampoline Review
The large, octagonal jumping area accommodates several jumpers at a time, and rather than throwing jumpers clear it directs them back towards the middle.
The octagonal shape of the jumping mat has many benefits: first and foremost, it actually makes it less likely for you to fly off the edge of the trampoline. I found that if you land near the edge of the jumping mat, it seems to direct you back towards the middle, which adds an extra level of peace of mind.
The size of this trampoline offers a jumping area which is larger than almost anything else you’ll find on the market. This means that there’s more than enough room for several kids – or even several adults – to jump at the same time. You won’t have to worry about overloading the surface or pushing the springs to their limits, as the 450 pound weight limit is enormous.
This trampoline is fitted with 112 springs which gives incredible bounce, much more than cheaper brands which are fitted with fewer springs. The bounce was good enough for me to pull off a few tricks and flips, and I didn’t feel that I was even coming close to testing the trampoline’s strength or durability.
There are only four legs holding this trampoline up, but they’re super sturdy and strong. It didn’t budge an inch during storms and strong winds, despite the fact that I hadn’t had a chance to anchor them down first.
Despite the heavy duty construction and the top rails measuring almost 2 inches in diameter, this was one of the easiest trampolines to put together that I’ve ever come across. Attaching the last few springs was the hardest part as no tools are included to help, but it is possible to put the whole thing together by hand. I set it up alone within the space of about half an hour.
This trampoline definitely delivers in terms of strength, durability and bounce quality, so you really do get what you pay for. The only major downside is the lack of an enclosure net, but these can be purchased separately if safety is still a concern. Otherwise, the only other drawback that I noticed is that the protective mats fade, but as this is just cosmetic it’s something that can easily be overlooked.
